APD responds to collision on S MoPac Expy near Barton Creek

AUSTIN, TX – A vehicle accident was reported late Thursday morning on the South MoPac Expressway near Barton Creek in west Austin, according to the Austin-Travis County Traffic Report Page.

The collision was reported in the 1800 block of the southbound expressway (Barton Skyway) toward the Tamarron Boulevard ramp. Police dispatchers were first alerted at 11:49 a.m.

Very few details have been released, but the incident was classified as “Crash Urgent,” indicating potential minor injuries. The term is also used to suggest a scene that has since been moved to the shoulder or another location off of a high speed roadway, and is no longer blocking traffic.
