Hit-and-run collision blocks I-H 35 & 6th St. connector in downtown Austin

DOWNTOWN AUSTIN, TX – A hit-and-run collision was blocking the intersection of Interstate Highway 35 and 6th Street on Tuesday. 

Austin police shared camera footage with the public, which was then re-posted by Fox7Austin. Details leading up to the crash remain scarce. However, based on the footage, it seems that three black colored vehicles collided. 

At the time of the crash, drivers were seen taking the far left lane to pass the crash. 

Police did not specify how many suspects there were in the collision or whether they fled the scene on foot or by vehicle. 

At this time, police have not reported any injuries and have not announced any pending charges.
