News: 1 child killed, 3 hospitalized after 2-vehicle crash near AUS Airport   

AUSTIN, TX – One child was killed and three people were transported to Travis County hospitals following a two-vehicle crash southwest of AUS Airport Friday. 

Austin Travis County Emergency Medical Services and Travis County Fire Rescue first announced the collision at 1:25 p.m., saying it happened on the 8500th block of Dee Gabriel Collins Road. Once the two vehicles collided, one of them then overturned. Upon arrival, officials conducted CPR on the child. Despite their best efforts, the child died from their injuries at the scene.

Medics transported two adults to Dell Seton Medical Center and another to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center. 

The surviving occupants received treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.
