TRAVIS COUNTY, TX – A driver of a vehicle struck a motorcycle in the Rollingwood community, leading the motorcyclist to sustain critical injuries Wednesday.
This collision happened before 6:30 p.m. between the 2900 and 3100 block of Bee Cave Road, near Montebello Road. Austin Travis County Emergency Medical Services, the Westlake Fire Department, and the Austin Fire Department were all summoned to the scene.

Upon arrival, first responders issued the motorcyclist a trauma alert and conducted CPR on them before taking them to Dell Seton Medical Center.
Initially, authorities said the crash was between an automobile and a cyclist. However, they later confirmed at approximately 6:48 p.m. that it was between a motorcyclist and a vehicle.
