News: 1 critically injured in Lakeway collision with extrication 

LAKEWAY, TX – One person was extricated from their vehicle and then sent to an area hospital for treatment of critical, life-threatening injuries after a two-vehicle crash Monday. 

Austin Travis County Emergency Medical Services and Lake Travis Fire Rescue were summoned to the 165304th block of Flint Rock Road and arrived after 12:30 p.m.

Fire crews were able to successfully extricate the one patient, either pinned or entrapped and issued them a trauma alert before they were hospitalized. 

Officials have not specified the events leading to Monday’s crash or said if the occupant was a passenger or driver.
