News: 1 extricated, hospitalized after vehicle, big rig crash in Great Hills 

AUSTIN, TX – One person was extricated from their vehicle and sent to a hospital after a crash involving a big rig in the Great Hills neighborhood on Wednesday.

According to the Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services, the collision occurred before 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of Lost Horizon Drive and Staghorn Cove.

Fire crews extricated a pinned person from their vehicle prior to ATCEMS crews taking them to St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center.

The extricated individual is recovering from non-life-threatening injuries and was said to have been the sole occupant of their vehicle.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
