SOUTHEAST AUSTIN, TX – One person died at the scene, and another occupant was transported to a hospital for serious wounds following a two-vehicle crash Monday.
According to Austin-Travis County Emergency Services, this collision happened before 3 a.m. between the 6900 to 7319 block of southbound U.S. 183 Highway in the Pilot Knob community, south of the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.
Officials said one person was pinned and then extricated but did not specify whether it was the person who passed away or who was sent to a medical facility.
The occupant who was hospitalized was administered blood and then transported to Dell Seton Medical Center for serious, potentially life-threatening wounds.
