DEL VALLE, TX – One person was hospitalized following a multi-vehicle crash involving a big rig that occurred east of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport on Tuesday.
The collision occurred after 1:30 p.m. on the 4615th block of South State Highway 130 North, according to Austin Travis County Emergency Medical Services.

ATCEMS said two vehicles and the truck collided, which caused the truck to overturn. As a result, a truck occupant became pinned and required extrication by Austin fire crews and Travis County Fire Rescue.
The truck occupant was left with potentially serious, life-threatening injuries and was taken to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center.
The exact cause of the crash has not been disclosed.
