AUSTIN, TX – One person was sent to the hospital following a collision between a school bus and a vehicle in the Cedar Valley community on Thursday.
The Travis County Sheriff’s Office told CBS Austin the school bus-vehicle collision occurred around 7 a.m. off the intersection of U.S. 290 and Fitzhugh Road. The school bus stopped at a red light and was side-swiped by another vehicle at the intersection.
One person was transported to the emergency room for treatment of unspecified injuries.
TCSO said four students were on board the bus, none of whom were injured.
Deputies and officials shut down the area for the scene clean-up process and have reopened all lanes since.
