News: 1 hurt in bicycle-semi-truck collision along St. Edward’s University

AUSTIN, TX – One person was seriously injured in a bicycle-semi-truck collision along St. Edward’s University, reported around 9 a.m. on Friday.

Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services said the cyclist was traveling on the 4100th block of South Congress Avenue when they were struck by a semi-truck.

ATCEMS rushed the cyclist to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center for treatment of serious, non-life-threatening injuries.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
