News: 1 injured, another critically in multi-vehicle crash in SW Austin

SOUTHWEST AUSTIN, TX – One person sustained minor injuries and another was left in critical condition as a result of a multi-vehicle crash on Thursday. 

Austin Travis County Emergency Medical Services first announced the crash at 8:08 a.m., saying it took place on the 8700th block of Southwest Parkway.

First responders transported the critically injured person to South Austin Hospital. 

At the time of the reporting, officials said they were working to determine whether the person with minor injuries needed to be sent to a hospital.  

STAR Flight also responded to the scene, but it’s unclear if their services were initiated. 

First responders are working to determine the cause of the crash.
