News: 1 killed, 1 critically hurt in Oak Hill rollover wreck 

AUSTIN, TX – One life was claimed, and another person was left in critical condition following a rollover wreck in the Oak Hill neighborhood that called for extrication Friday. 

This crash was reported before 12:30 a.m. and occurred between the 5546th to 5552th block of eastbound State Highway 71, according to an X post from Austin Travis County Emergency Medical Services.

Fire crews were able to extricate the entrapped person, and first responders issued that occupant a trauma alert before taking them to St. David’s South Medical Center. There, they are recovering from critical, life-threatening injuries. 

Emergency responders performed CPR on the other occupant. However, despite best efforts, they succumbed to fatal wounds at the scene.
