AUSTIN, TX – Paramedics transported one person to a Travis County hospital and declared one dead following a pin-in collision Friday.
Austin Travis County Emergency Services were summoned to the 6400 block of North Capital of Texas Highway, arriving at the scene after 9:30 p.m. Firefighters had to extricate the two pinned occupants. Paramedics had to conduct CPR on one person. However, despite their best efforts, the occupant died from their injuries at the scene.

The second passenger, who was issued a trauma alert, is recovering from serious injuries at St. David’s South Medical Center.
Travis County authorities have not released an official statement regarding the events leading up to this event or disclosed the identity of the deceased person.
