DOWNTOWN AUSTIN, TX – A driver fled after striking two pedestrians, leading one of them to sustain wounds and resulting in another person’s death Tuesday.
This collision happened around 1 a.m. at the East 7th Street and Red River Street junction, according to CBS Austin.
Despite the life-saving measures, one person passed away on site, and the other injured person was sent to an area hospital.
Police launched an investigation and are actively searching for the hit-and-run driver. They have not provided a description of the suspect or their vehicle. In addition, they did not release the events leading up to this collision or release the victim’s name.
