NORTH AUSTIN, TX – A 50-year-old man died and three people were arrested after a fatal pedestrian crash along Walnut Creek Metropolitan Park Sunday.
Austin police told KXAN that the collision occurred on the 12333rd block of North Lamar Boulevard. Police arrived at the scene after 8:30 p.m. and declared the pedestrian, the 50-year-old man, dead at the scene.
The pedestrian has since been identified as Ismal Mossaad. Police suspect Mossaad was fatally struck by one driver, a 33-year-old man, and another driver, a 16-year-old teenager.
The 33-year-old man was identified as Markell D. Turner, and his passenger as 34-year-old Jarina D. Robinson.
Police have confirmed that Turner will be charged with Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) and Robinson will be charged with Possession of Controlled Substances/Narcotics. The 16-year-old will be charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
