News: 1 killed, 4 hurt in Lake Travis jet ski boat crash 

TRAVIS COUNTY, TX – Four people sustained serious injuries, and one man died following a crash between a boat and a jet ski on Lake Travis Sunday. 

Officials responded to the crash site – along the 18200 block of Lakepoint Cove – before 3 p.m., according to KXAN. The collision occurred when a boat had hit a jet ski, causing a person to fall off. 

When a man was brought to shore, medics performed life-saving measures in an attempt to save him. However, despite their best efforts, the man succumbed to fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The four people who were hurt were taken to area hospitals (St. David’s South Austin Medical Center, St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center, and Dell Seton Medical Center) by ATCEMS, the North Lake Travis Fire Department, and by STAR Flight.
