NORTHWEST AUSTIN, TX – Three children and two adults were taken to local hospitals, and one life was claimed following a pin-in collision Monday.
According to Austin Travis County Emergency Medical Services, this crash happened before 11:45 p.m. at Research Boulevard and West Braker Lane.

After arriving, police declared one person deceased at the scene. Austin fire crews managed to extricate two people from their car. Following the extrication, an ambulance took the three children to Dell Children’s Medical Center for treatment of injuries deemed potentially serious and for serious wounds.
A STAR Flight helicopter, which was also summoned to the crash site, airlifted the two adults to Dell Seton Medical Center for wounds that were “potentially life-threatening.”
First responders have not revealed the exact circumstances leading up to this wreck nor released the name of the victim who passed away.
