TRAVIS CO., TX – A driver was killed early this morning when their vehicle was rear-ended by a semi-truck in Bastrop.
According to a report by Fox 7 Austin, a 2012 Ford Fusion was disabled in the eastbound lanes of SH-71 near FM-304 at about 1:15 a.m. when it was hit by the truck.
The Ford’s driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the truck was treated for minor injuries. No additional information concerning their identities is available at this time.
Sources indicate a third vehicle was involved in the fatal crash; however, the driver was unhurt.
