News: 1 killed, another hurt after car crashes into traffic signal pole in Austin 

AUSTIN, TX – Texas Department of Public Safety confirmed one person died and another individual was injured after a vehicle crashed into a traffic signal pole on Thursday, KXAN reports.

This is an update in connection with a story we posted yesterday about the collision at Donn’s BBQ. The driver of the vehicle crashed into the pole at the intersection of FM Market 969 and Imperial Drive, leaving the vehicle completely mangled.

The crash happened after 2 p.m. The person who died did so at the scene. Another survived and sustained serious injuries and was taken to Dell Seton Medical Center for treatment.

Authorities are working to determine what caused the driver to crash into the pole.
