News: 1 killed in North Austin crash with moving car, hit-and-run driver

NORTH AUSTIN, TX – A passenger of a moving vehicle leaped out of the car and then was struck by another driver who fled the scene Sunday, leading the occupant to die from their injuries.  

This collision happened before 4:30 a.m. in the 600 block of West Anderson Lane in the Crestview district, according to CBS Austin. 

The driver of the moving vehicle stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Very little information about this collision is available, although officials confirmed that intoxication did not play a role in this deadly wreck. 

Authorities have not yet released a description of the suspect and their vehicle.
