AUSTIN, TX – One person lost their life in a Valentine’s Day crash involving a semi-truck on the 13000th block of I-35 Frontage Road South, CBS Austin said.
The collision occurred before 4:30 a.m. on Saturday near FM 1327. Austin police said one person died from their injuries a short time later, and others involved were uninjured.
Police and Texas Department of Transportation crews shut down three lanes and interstate shoulders at 4:23 a.m. During that time, drivers were asked to seek alternative routes.
The victim’s identity has not been released.
