News: 1 pedestrian killed, another hospitalized after Tarrytown crash

AUSTIN, TX – One pedestrian was hospitalized for injuries deemed potentially serious, and another pedestrian died after both were hit by a vehicle in the Tarrytown area Friday. 

According to Austin Travis County Emergency Medical Services, this collision occurred before 8:45 a.m. in the 2500th block of Hillview Road.

Austin fire crews were also summoned to the scene. Medics conducted CPR on one pedestrian. However, despite their best efforts, the person succumbed to fatal wounds. 

At this time, it is unclear if the driver will face charges. In addition, officials did not release the victim’s name.
