News: 1 seriously hurt in Austin semi, vehicle crash on McNeil Dr. 

AUSTIN, TX – A driver of an unspecified vehicle collided with a semi-truck on the 7300 block of McNeil Drive, leading to one person sustaining potentially serious wounds Wednesday. 

Austin Travis County Emergency Services indicated that before 8:30 p.m., the motorist, for reasons unclear, had driven through a metal barrier. As a result, one vehicle occupant was entrapped and extricated by emergency crews.

First responders then rushed the victim to St. David’s Round Rock for treatment. Officials did not confirm if it was a driver or passenger who was seriously injured. They did, however, certify that another passenger suffered unspecified wounds and declined to be taken to the hospital.
