News: 2 hospitalized after crash with extrication involving semi 

AUSTIN, TX –  Fire crews extricated one person from their vehicle before an ambulance took them and another person to a hospital after a crash with a semi near Boggy Creek Wednesday.

Austin Travis County Emergency Medical Services said they arrived at the scene, the 8600th block of northbound South Interstate Highway 35, at 11 p.m. They issued trauma alerts for the extricated person, who was initially pinned, and the other individual before they were sent to St. David’s South Austin Medical.

The Austin Fire Department and ATCEMS confirmed the two occupants were going to receive treatment for serious wounds. However, they did not specify the events that led to this crash.
