AUSTIN, TX – Two people were sent to a hospital following a pin-in collision outside of the AUS Airport on Saturday.
Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services reported the crash before noon, saying it happened in the area of southbound U.S. 183 Service Road and East Riverside Drive.

The impact of the crash led at least one person to be pinned inside their vehicle. Four people were injured.
One adult suffered critical injuries, and another sustained serious, non-life-threatening injuries, while two children were left with minor injuries.
STAR Flight airlifted the adult in critical condition to Dell Seton Medical Center, while ATCEMS transported the seriously injured adult to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center and the two children to Dell Children’s Medical Center.
At the time of the reporting, officials told commuters to expect delays as they worked to clean up debris from the crash.
