News: 2 hurt in big rig collision in South Austin  

SOUTH AUSTIN, TX – Two people were injured in a big rig collision that occurred on Interstate 35 North in South Austin on Friday.

The crash took place before 4:30 a.m. near the Slaughter Lane exit, according to CBS Austin and Austin Police.

The crash injured the big rig driver and another occupant.

The other occupant sustained serious injuries and was sent to a hospital.

The truck driver was not taken to the emergency room.

Officials are working to determine how the collision unfolded and have not reported any charges or citations at this time.
