News: 2 hurt in pin-in crash on South Congress Avenue

AUSTIN, TX – Two were hospitalized after a two-vehicle collision at South Congress Avenue and Lightsey Road Monday. 

ATCEMS responded to the scene before 11 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered that one person was pinned inside a vehicle. That occupant was able to get out thanks to aid from first responders. 

Vehicle Rescue at S Congress Ave / Lightsey Rd (22:56). #ATCEMS & @austinfireinfo are on scene of a 2 vehicle collision, with 2 patients involved, one is trapped in their vehicle w/extrication in progress. Both victims were transported to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center for serious injuries.
