TAYLOR, TX – A fatal wrong-way crash was reported on the 4300 block of North Main St. Saturday.
The collision occurred around 11 p.m., according to CBS Austin. A driver of a 2016 Chevrolet was traveling on the southbound lanes and crossed over into the northbound lanes. As a result, he collided with a 2003 GMC Yukon head-on.
Taylor Police found open containers of alcohol in both vehicles, however; it is unclear if alcohol contributed to the collision.
Officials identified the Chevrolet driver as Daniel Garcia, 42, of Pflugerville. Garcia succumbed to injuries and was declared deceased at the scene.
