SOUTHEAST AUSTIN, TX – When two vehicles collided in the Franklin Park area Saturday, it led one of the automobiles to overturn, which later claimed the lives of two people and left another seriously injured.
This serious wreck occurred before 4:30 p.m. at the intersection of Peppertree Parkway and East Stassney Lane, according to Austin Travis County Emergency Medical Services. The impact of this crash left at least one person pinned inside their vehicle, requiring assistance from the Austin Fire Department.

Fire crews did not disclose extrication methods for freeing the pinned individual but did say that ATCEMS medics had to conduct CPR on two occupants.
Immediately following the CPR, emergency responders said two adults succumbed to fatal wounds at the scene but did not confirm if they were the same passengers given CPR.
Two surviving occupants remained, one of whom sustained serious wounds, was issued a trauma alert, and was sent to St. David’s South Austin. At the time of the reporting, officials said they were working to determine if the other person would require a trip to the hospital but never specified if that occupant ended up going to the ER.
The exact cause of Saturday’s collision has not been stated, nor have authorities released the identities of the victims. New information will be added as the latest developments are made public.
