NORTH AUSTIN, TX – Two pedestrians suffered critical, life-threatening, and serious injuries in separate collisions in the Quail Creek district Saturday night.
Austin Travis County Emergency Services said the first collision, reported before 8 p.m., occurred at the Rutland Drive and North Lamar Boulevard junction. The pedestrian who was hit by a vehicle was issued a trauma alert and then sent to Dell Seton Medical Center for treatment of critical, life-threatening injuries.

The second pedestrian was struck before 9 p.m. on the 9024 block of Northgate Boulevard. First responders also issued a trauma alert for this person and also sent them to Dell Seton Medical Center. This individual’s wounds were deemed severe, potentially life-threatening injuries.

An investigation has begun. However, first responders have not disclosed the circumstances leading up to these crashes, said who had the right of way, or mentioned any citations or pending charges.
