News: 3-auto wreck with extrication in Austin, sends 1 to hospital 

AUSTIN, TX – First responders had to extricate one person from their vehicle before declaring them a trauma alert and then sending them to hospital after a three-vehicle wreck Saturday. 

According to an X post from Austin Travis County Emergency Medical Services, this multi-auto collision happened before 4:30 p.m. between the 14523th to 14907th block of eastbound U.S. 290 Highway, which is adjacent to Nelson Field.

Following the mentioned extrication, the extricated person was transported to Dell Seton Medical Center for serious, life-threatening wounds.

Two other people are recovering from minor, non-life-threatening injuries. Emergency crews, which included Travis County Emergency Services District No. 12, said these occupants were evaluated but did not confirm if they required a trip to the emergency room.
