News: 3 hospitalized after multi-vehicle crashes in Travis Co.

AUSTIN, TX – Austin emergency crews responded to two separate multi-vehicle collisions after 12:45 p.m. Saturday. 

The first wreck, which involved approximately 10 vehicles,  took place before 1 p.m. on northbound I-35 near the SH 45 ramp, according to CBS Austin. Two children and one adult were hospitalized for non-life-threatening injuries. The adult was sent to Ascension Seton Hays Hospital, and the two children were taken to Dell Children’s Medical Center. 

The second crash, which happened after 1 p.m., occurred on northbound Research Boulevard near Duval Road. Officials said nine vehicles were involved, but no one sustained injuries.
