News: 3 hospitalized following two-vehicle collision in Spicewood 

SPICEWOOD, TX – Three people were transported to Travis County hospitals following a two-vehicle collision that occurred along Travis Settlement on Friday. 

Austin Travis County Emergency Medical Services were dispatched to the 20800th block of West State Highway 71 and pulled up to the scene just before 3:30 p.m.

STAR Flight, Travis County, and Pedernales fire crews were also summoned to the scene. Firefighters extricated three people from their vehicle, saying that two were initially pinned inside. 

Once the extrication was completed, medical helicopter personnel transported one person to Dell Seton Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries. 

ATCEMS transported two people by ground to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.  

The exact cause of the crash is under investigation.
