SOUTH AUSTIN, TX – When a vehicle and a Cap Metro Bus collided east of the Canvas Apartments, it led the bus to overturn, injuring four people Wednesday.
Austin Travis County Emergency Medical Services announced this crash at 10:46 a.m., stating it occurred at the intersection of South 1st Street and West William Cannon Drive.

The Austin Fire Department and ATCEMS remain at the scene. They confirmed that ambulance personnel rushed three adults to South Austin Hospital. There, one victim is being treated for serious injuries, and two others are treated for minor wounds.
Emergency responders said a fourth person sustained minor lacerations. At this time, they are deciding whether this individual’s condition will warrant a trip to an area medical facility as well.
Law enforcement has not commented on this specific collision, confirmed whether it was the car occupants or bus passengers who were sent to the hospital, and elaborated on the contributing factors behind this wreck.
