News: 4 killed, 1 hospitalized after Travis Co. multi-vehicle crash

TRAVIS COUNTY, TX – One person was airlifted to a hospital, and four people lost their lives following a multi-vehicle pin-in crash near the Elroy community Sunday. 

This collision happened before 4:15 p.m. on the 10500 block of the State Highway 130 S Frontage Road, according to an X post from Austin Travis County Emergency Services. First responders said the person who was flown via a STARFlight helicopter, was taken to St. David’s South Medical Center for treatment of potentially life-threatening injuries. Another occupant was injured but refused to be sent to a medical facility.

Despite the conducted CPR measures, the four people who passed away succumbed to fatal wounds at the scene. 

Officials did launch an investigation but have not specified the exact cause of this crash or indicated citations or pending charges.
