SAN MARCOS, TX – Five people were injured in a Wednesday morning crash that involved a big rig. KXAN reports.
The collision occurred on State Highway 123, south of Bowie Elementary School. San Marcos police said the incident unfolded when the driver lost control of their truck and crashed it, which resulted in a diesel fuel spill.
Police did not specify the severity of the injuries that were sustained for the five people, but said they were all sent to the hospital for treatment.
Officials shut down the highway’s north and southbound directions along Rattler Road and Monterrey Oak for the scene clearance process and have reopened all lanes.
