News: Accident closes part of southbound I-35 in NE Austin

AUSTIN, TX – Authorities were dispatched to a vehicle crash Tuesday morning, July 16, in northeast Austin’s Pamela Heights neighborhood, according to the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).

The incident took place on the southbound lanes of I-35 at Grand Avenue Parkway. It was first reported shortly before 8:20 p.m., when a section of the southbound interstate had already been shut down in response.

As of this writing, local agencies have not indicated the cause of the crash or shared any details about the involved parties.
