AUSTIN, TX – Austin police have identified the man who died from his injuries last Monday, June 9 after a serious hit-and-run crash that happened near St. Edward’s University last month.
According to KXAN, the hit-and-run driver struck the man, Bobby Wayne Carr, while he was riding a bicycle on the 4100th block of South Congress Avenue on Tuesday, May 20. Police and EMS crews arrived at the scene before 11:45 p.m. First responders rushed Carr to a hospital, where he later died.
At this time, the suspect appears to remain at large. Officials have not provided a description of the man or specified what kind of vehicle he was operating.
