News: APD responds to injury vehicle accident near UT Austin

CENTRAL AUSTIN, TX – Austin police are currently responding to the scene of a vehicle accident with injuries just east of the University of Texas at Austin. 

According to the Austin-Travis County Traffic Report Page, police were dispatched to the intersection of Enfield Road and Newfield Lane and pulled up to the scene at 5:50 p.m. Officers shut down at least one lane to allow transportation workers to clean up the debris from the crash and restore safe road conditions. 

Police indicated that at least one person sustained minor injuries in the crash, but have not confirmed whether they would need to be taken to the hospital. 

No citations were reported at this time.
