News: APD seeks leads in fatal solo crash at FM 973 and Spirit Dr

AUSTIN, TX – A fatality has been reported in connection to a single-vehicle accident that happened over the Fourth of July weekend in Del Valle, reports KXAN.

Emergency teams received word of the crash around 9:30 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of FM 973 and Spirit Drive, which is just east of Austin-Bergstrom International Airport and west of TX-130.

It’s not yet clear what may have caused the vehicle to crash. Authorities pronounced a male victim deceased at the scene. His name has not yet been released to the public.

Police have not referenced any other victims in connection to the accident.

The collision likely created delays Saturday night in the area of FM 973 and Spirit Drive.
