News: At least 1 life claimed in San Marcos crash

SAN MARCOS, TX – At least one person passed away in a collision that happened on I-35 South near Yarrington Road Friday. 

The Texas Department of Transportation first announced this crash at 4:47 a.m., according to CBS Austin. Police closed all the southbound lanes in the area to accommodate the investigation and scene clearance process and later reopened all lanes. 

Officials have not released a formal statement surrounding the circumstances behind Friday’s wreck nor publicly identified the victim at this time.
