AUSTIN, TX – Austin Police are on the hunt for two suspects in connection with separate hit-and-run crashes that sent three people to the hospital.
KVUE said one hit-and-run collision occurred on Thursday, Dec. 25, on Christmas Day, before 9:45 p.m. at the intersection of North Lamar Boulevard and West Rundberg Lane. Police said a driver of a black sedan, going east, crashed into a motorcycle and their passenger in the area of North Lamar Boulevard and West Rundberg Lane.
The driver did not render aid to the victims and immediately took off in their vehicle, described as a black Chrysler 200 four-door sedan.
The two victims were hospitalized for non-life-threatening injuries.
Fox7Austin said the other hit-and-run collision happened on Thursday, Jan. 8, after 6:30 p.m. on the 6800th block of McNeil Drive.
A suspect, who drove a black Chevrolet Tahoe, crashed into a FedEx truck stopped in the center lane.
Police said the suspect immediately fled the scene, and confirmed the FedEx stopped in the center lane to make a delivery.
The FedEx driver was also hospitalized for non-life-threatening injuries.
Police urge the public to contact the phone number listed in the initial sources or connect with austincrimestoppers.org if they have any more details on either of the crashes or suspects. Anyone who provides information that leads to an arrest may be entitled to a $1,000 reward.
