News: Bastrop officials close Hwy 21 due to big rig rollover wreck

BASTROP, TX – Crews shut down Highway 21 near Electric Avenue before 8:45 a.m. Tuesday after a big rig overturned on its side. 

KXAN said that authorities have not confirmed if anyone was injured, died, or needed to be taken to a hospital as a result of this collision. Officials have also not provided a time estimate regarding when the scene will clear. 

As it stands, delays and closures are still in effect, so drivers approaching the area should seek alternative routes or avoid the area altogether so authorities can continue to investigate the circumstances of Tuesday’s wreck and to accommodate the scene clearance process.
