TROY, TX – The Bell County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the details behind a fatal fiery crash involving a big rig that happened on I-35 Friday.
CBS Austin said the collision took place after 9:30 p.m. near Main Street. The details behind what led to the crash are unclear. However, based on what authorities know so far, a truck crashed, causing it to catch on fire.
Bell County deputies and local transportation crews shut down the area for several hours, and later reopened all northbound lanes around 7 a.m. and all lanes, south and north, by 9:30 a.m.
Deputies have not released the identities of the involved occupants.
