AUSTIN, TX – A section of southbound U.S. Highway 183 in north Austin was blocked late Sunday afternoon following a crash, according to TxDOT Austin.
Authorities were called to the scene at the intersection with Spicewood Springs Road, in the city’s Sonata West and Barrington Oaks areas. It was first reported at about 3:22 p.m.
While little information about the incident has been released, all southbound travel lanes were closed as a result, forcing motorists to re-route onto the frontage road.
By 4:11 p.m., about 50 minutes later, the scene had been cleared.
