News: Collision closes section of northbound I-35 near San Marcos

HAYS COUNTY, TX – Part of northbound Interstate 35 near San Marcos was blocked Sunday morning following a vehicle crash, according to TxDOT Austin.

The accident happened at Exit 207 toward River Ridge Parkway and was first reported at 8:44 a.m.

At the time of the initial report, the scene had all northbound lanes in the area shut down for the emergency response. Crews were diverting traffic onto the frontage road at the exit.

It was not immediately apparent whether anyone was seriously injured and/or had to be taken to a hospital.
