AUSTIN, TX – Emergency crews were dispatched to a collision Friday afternoon that blocked part of Interstate 35 in southwest Austin, according to KXAN.
The accident happened on the northbound lanes at Exit 225 toward Onion Creek Parkway, in the city’s Double Creek Village area. It was first reported at about 2:51 p.m.
Few details have been made available at this time, but two northbound lanes were closed in the immediate aftermath.
The closure was expected to remain in place for at least 30 minutes, with a re-opening planned at 3:21 p.m.
Officials have not confirmed any injuries or hospitalizations connected to the incident.
