News: Crash with bus along AUS airport leaves 1 in critical condition 

DEL VALLE, TX – A multi-vehicle crash involving a bus reported along Austin-Bergstrom International Airport had left one in critical condition Monday. 

Before 9:45 a.m., Austin Travis County Emergency Services, a physician assistant, and two commanders were called to the crash site — the 2700 block of East Highway 71 Service Road, north of Del Valle Street.

Officials said six occupants were involved, and one needed CPR. One person who was critically injured and another who was seriously hurt were sent to St. David’s South Medical Center for treatment. 

Two other individuals sustained serious wounds and were transported to St. David’s Medical Center for treatment. 

Two were said to have initially refused to be taken to a hospital via an ambulance. However, according to an update from authorities, the one person who refused transportation sustained minor wounds and was later taken to St. David’s South Medical Center. 

It is unclear if the other person who refused to be taken to a hospital via an ambulance took themselves to a hospital for their minor wounds. 

The exact details of this collision are under investigation. No other information is readily available at this time.
