SOUTHEAST AUSTIN, TX – Transportation crews shut down I-35 for several hours due to a tractor-trailer accident that happened before 6 a.m. on Thursday.
The crash occurred on the 6600th block of South I-35, between William Cannon Drive and West Slaughter Lane, Fox7Austin reports. The force of the collision left significant amounts of oil spilled on the interstate. Officials reduced the interstate to one lane for many hours before reopening all lanes before 1:23 p.m.
No injuries were reported.
