News: Driver crashes into fixed object near Elroy, ATCEMS says 

AUSTIN, TX – First responders were summoned to a crash that involved a driver hitting a fixed object Sunday in the southbound lanes of Texas Highway 130 near Elroy.  

Austin Travis County Emergency Medical Services indicated this single-vehicle collision happened near Moore Road before 2:30 a.m. Emergency crews initially said the driver was either pinned or entrapped inside their vehicle and needed to be extricated. However, the motorist was able to escape, and so officials called off the initial vehicle rescue portion.

The driver refused to be taken to a hospital for treatment. At this time, officials have not provided commentary regarding their current condition nor revealed the circumstances that led to this collision.
